Tobogganing fun and Candlemas market - right in Erlangen's city center

Wintertime – sledding time. But what do you do when Mother Nature doesn't shake out her beds and there's no snow? The solution: sledding on the winter toboggan run in the middle of Erlangen at SchlossplatzFollowing the huge success of "Erlangen Like on Ice" – the artificial ice rink on the market square before Christmas – the city management has come up with another winter highlight: a toboggan run that operates completely independently of snowfall.

With a gradient of up to 45 degrees, it goes inflatable tires downhill on a special roller surface. The tobogganers then gain momentum over a distance of 25 m. The toboggan run is suitable for children and adults. free.

After a two-year hiatus, the Erlangen Candlemas Market is back. Starting on Candlemas (February 2), market vendors invite you to discover a wide selection of household items, from pots, pans, and wool socks to spices, teas, and other delicacies.
