The first stop is the Neustadt Cemetery. After the cemetery was established for the new town of Erlangen, Protestants, Catholics, and Protestants were buried here. Not only are the graves of famous Erlangen families found here, but the design and material of its gravestones also reflect a development in the culture of death in Erlangen and provide information about the social status of the deceased and their relatives. The tour then continues to the cemetery of the Reformed community before ending at the Ehrenfriedhof Cemetery.
