The walking tour traces the history of Erlangen from the Nazi era to the present day. Right-wing extremist and antisemitic tendencies persist in Erlangen even today. Book burnings, euthanasia, and antisemitism are legacies that were not adequately addressed after 1945. Along the way, we will visit sites linked to historical events, but we will also visit places that exemplify the continued existence of right-wing extremist ideology. The tour aims to raise awareness of these disturbing continuities and to highlight current discussions surrounding the culture of remembrance.
