Erlangen's northern city center, the Old Town, is several centuries older than the Huguenot city itself. The great fire of 1706 changed the face of this once medieval town. The tour includes the St. Martin's Chapel and Erlangen's oldest house, and explains why beer was once so important for the Old Town.
