What was life like in Erlangen between 1933 and 1945? Everyday life was politicized by the integration of the individual into the "national community." Anti-Semitism, book burning, and euthanasia cast their shadows over a city that, with the outbreak of war, was on the "home front." The FAU played a special role, becoming known as the "first National Socialist university in the Reich." The tour spans the period from the "seizure of power" to the end of the war, but also does not ignore threatening continuities up to the present day.
