As a Huguenot descendant, I invite you with pleasure to an entertaining and special stroll. Starting in the historic center, on the Grande Place, history comes alive for you – the reality and appearance of the Baroque era. We'll stroll through the princely palace gardens to the bizarre Grande Fontaine, where His Serene Highness Margrave Christian Ernst loved to stroll.
The traces of the court society reveal many astonishing things, even delicate things – just as it was back then.
You'll learn some amusing facts at the fascinating "Opera and Comedy House." How did the two gray pachyderms manage to get to the royal residence and university city? Why is our Stone Margrave unfinished, and what does a market woman have to do with poets and thinkers?
