A hidden gem of the city of Erlangen is the sculpture garden by Heinrich Kirchner, located on the sunny southern slope of the castle hill, which was ceremonially opened in May 1982, the 80th birthday of the artist.
In the midst of a harmoniously designed garden landscape, 19 monumental bronze sculptures unfold, created by the renowned Erlangen sculptor between 1935 and 1982.
The interplay of nature and art makes the sculpture garden a unique place of encounter: with art, with history and, last but not least, with oneself.
