"Eating with friends!" is the motto of the establishment. The first pub, opened by Georg Polster in 25, was just 1839 square meters in size. The idyllic garden, with an arbor shaded by two linden trees, quickly made the inn a popular destination for guests from the surrounding villages.
The family-run business underwent extensive renovations in 1985 during the last generational change of ownership. At that time, the property was still a private farm. After the renovation, the traditional village inn developed into one of Middle Franconia's premier gourmet destinations. It's worth emphasizing, however, that the former "farmer's inn" has retained its authentic Franconian character. It remains the regular haunt of many loyal Kosbach villagers.
Hospitality has been a tradition here for more than 180 years. Chef Dominic Polster is the eighth generation to run the restaurant.
The gourmet chef and his team never fail to delight their guests with original, down-to-earth specialties that, when combined with exotic classics, unfold into new taste experiences.
The shopping list here includes regional products, which also supports small producers and businesses in the area. The chef purchases fruit and vegetables at the Nuremberg wholesale market, and the meat is supplied by nearby farms.
