Kletterzentrum Sparkassen Bergwelt

With up to 200 routes ranging in difficulty from three to ten – indoor and outdoor – there is the right challenge for every age group and every constitution!
Since December 2020, the "Sparkassen Bergwelt" has been one of the largest indoor climbing halls in northern Bavaria and an impressive adventure world for every visitor. With this climbing and club center, the German Alpine Association (DAV) in Erlangen has created a central location to promote competitive sports, recreational sports, and young talent. It's even possible to climb here without a partner – several automatic belay devices inside and outside ensure absolutely safe climbing fun – for DAV members and non-members alike.

The cozy bistro offers relaxed seating inside with a fantastic view of the climbing hall's high walls, and outside, in the green setting of the terrace, also offers a clear view of the climbing walls. Thanks to its central location, the "Sparkassen Bergwelt" is a social meeting place and an attractive addition to Erlangen's offerings in the areas of health, sports, and environmental education.

Climbing has always been an integral part of the club's DNA. The DAV is not only home to passionate climbers. Hikers, mountain bikers, paddlers, and simply nature-loving people also come together here to enjoy and protect nature. For all of them, the Sparkassen Bergwelt also serves as a meeting place and club center.
