As owner and head chef, Zacharias Dengler is always ready to set new standards in traditional and modern cuisine.
The origins of the restaurant Das Muskat lie in the former health food café on the Old Town Church Square, which welcomed guests until 1990. Zacharias Dengler was thus exposed to the culinary world from a young age. Although he was almost predestined, he began his apprenticeship as a chef more or less by chance, which wasn't actually his plan. Today, he is the enthusiastic head chef of his own restaurant, which he opened in new premises in 2012 based on the core philosophy of the "old" Muskat. For many years now, the family business in the heart of the city has been an integral part of Erlangen's culinary scene.
