Schwabach – spot on
Schwabach is all about gold and is home to two businesses that still practice the very rare craft of gold beating, as well as the Gold Box in the city museum, where a gold beater demonstrates how gold leaf is made.
The gold leaf produced in Schwabach can be found all over the world and of course also in Schwabach itself, for example on the golden roofs of the town hall, in the Golden Hall, on the high altar of the town church and on special occasions it also adorns food and drinks.
The market square with its lovingly restored half-timbered houses and town houses, its trendy shops and quaint restaurants is one of the most beautiful in all of Franconia.
