Palais Stutterheim Erlangen

The building was built between 1728 and 30 according to designs by Wenzel Perner for district administrator Christian Hieronymus von Stutterheim.

Opening hours

Monday and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 10:00AM till 6:30PM
Wednesday: 10:00AM to 8:00PM
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00AM till 6:00PM

The opening hours depend on the opening hours of the Kunstpalais and the city library.

After the castle fire on 14 January 1814, the palace served as the retirement home of Margravine Sophie Caroline Marie until 1817. Between 1836 and 1971, the building was used as Town hall used. In addition to the library The magnificent building now houses the Art Palace with the municipal collection.
