Kulturzentrum E-Werk

For over 40 years, the former power station at Fuchsenwiese 1 has been used as a cultural center and is known beyond the borders of Erlangen and the region with its colorful supporting program, which sets many accents throughout the event year.

Like many socio-cultural institutions, the E-Werk is run by an association and a limited liability company. The more than 2.500 square meters of event space can accommodate over 2.500 visitors. The E-Werk also houses a cinema with four different screens, including a small basement stage and a large auditorium.

The program is diverse, with over 200 live acts from almost all music genres performing here annually. The E-Werk cinema offers a sophisticated program, and there are regular open-air film screenings in the summer. The team is also active in the areas of education and self-initiative. Numerous discussions, readings, slide shows, and courses are part of the event program.

In addition, a wide variety of groups are active at the E-Werk. From a bicycle repair shop, a juggling and acrobatics group, a pub choir, a computer group, and more, the space offers ample space for the expansion and development of creative ideas.
