In 1728, the foundation stone for the "German Reformed Church" in Erlangen was laid. Six years later, the church was consecrated. In 1922, the Evangelical Lutheran Church took over the building and turned it into the Christ ChurchIn the 50s, the church underwent its biggest transformation to date: it was gutted and a new ceiling was installed. The Christ Church was parish hall. The exterior remained intact until the renovations in the 90s, and the crypts beneath the church floor remained untouched. In 2016, the "CROSS+CROSS" - a modern Conference and event center.
