Erlanger Wochenmarkt

Since 1694, a weekly market has been held on the Market and Castle Square, against the majestic backdrop of the Margrave's Palace. Its square dimensions are simply perfect, as the square was planned as 91 x 91 meters when the New Town was planned. It has had names like "Green Fruit Market," "Obstmarkt," or "Victualien-Markt." One thing has never changed: Ever since then, the square has been a central meeting place, offering a wide selection of fresh food.
