Since 1979, the 1 hectare large Aroma garden in the valley of the Schwabach at the corner of Palmsanlage and Martiusweg. It is about one kilometre from Botanical Garden Today the garden is used exclusively by the University groomed.
The concept of the garden is to combine traditional aromatic perennials and woody plants to introduce both from our own and distant cultures and to plant the species, mostly on larger areas, in accordance with their requirements.
The Aroma Garden offers an interesting Collection of more than 100 mostly perennial, hardy fragrant plants. With their special, often fragrant ingredients, mostly essential oils, they are used in Cosmetics manufacturing, for the purposes of Food production, as Odor enhancers or used for other purposes.
