My favorite place in Erlangen
My favorite place in Erlangen? Definitely the Palais Stutterheim.
Located directly on the market square, its elegant façade makes it one of the most beautiful baroque buildings in the city.
Since I've lived in Erlangen, almost every trip into the city center sooner or later leads me to this special place.
Originally built as an aristocratic palace, it served as the town hall for many decades and today houses the city library and the wonderful Kunstpalais.
Although the building also contains a dark chapter in the city's history, today it stands for education, art, culture and intercultural encounters like no other place in Erlangen.
What and why is this so?
I’d be happy to tell you about it on one of my city tours!
