Organic Restaurant Muskat

Muskat, a certified organic restaurant, is a leader in sustainability and culinary enjoyment in Erlangen. All ingredients are produced according to organic farming guidelines and are freshly prepared. Owner and head chef Zacharias Dengler is constantly striving to set new standards in both traditional and modern cuisine.

The origins of the restaurant Das Muskat lie in the former organic food café on the Old Town Church Square, which welcomed guests until 1990. Zacharias Dengler was thus exposed to the restaurant business from a young age. Although seemingly destined for the hospitality industry, he began his apprenticeship as a chef somewhat by chance, as it wasn't his original plan. Today, he is the enthusiastic head chef of his own restaurant, which he opened in 2012 in new premises, based on the core philosophy of the "old" Muskat. For many years now, the family business has been an integral part of Erlangen's culinary scene in the heart of the city.
